030. Worn Out, Weary and On the Run

Lately, I’ve been tempted…

to run right out the door. Not because I’m late, but just because I’m so weary, I just feel like I can’t take it anymore. My to-do list has become a two-pager and I can’t juggle high enough to keep everything in the air. Something is always being forgotten or apologized for. And favors and promises no longer feel generous, but rather heavy like burdens I’m obligated to keep in order to compete with everyone else.

I know I can’t be the weary only one…

who wants to find a sledge hammer and cry foul as I whack away at these shackles which hold me down. How on earth did I become a slave to my own life? No one else did this to me… but me.

So imagine my surprise…

when I met someone else who knew my grief? A woman who had actually been a slave herself, yet suffered much worse. So I took the time to walk with he… to talk with her. And today on the podcast the Warrior SHE will show us a new way to live… a new way to break free from this bondage.

I’d love for you to join me…

as we learn together how to find freedom from the God who sees us. Today, let’s reflect upon where we’ve been and consider where we are headed, emptying our hands as we go. Let’s stop to ponder whether we need to take a few steps back where God had us, before we pridefully run ahead to where we’d rather be. For God has a purpose in all this for us. He actually has a better plan.

And most of our freedom…

depends on our attitude. Most of our freedom is in the mindset we determine to hold.
Ready your Helmet of Salvation, Warrior! For this is an adventure you won’t want to miss.
